Heirloom Pie Workshop & Garden Afternoon Tea
Event Date:
March 6, 2026
Cooked from Scratch | Granite Belt
It would be our pleasure to welcome you into the Cooked from Scratch kitchen for an intimate heirloom pie workshop and garden afternoon tea experience, inspired by tradition, seasonality, and the quiet joy of cooking together.
Each workshop begins in our country kitchen, where Lizzie will guide you through crafting your own individual 6-inch Stanthorpe apple pie, using locally grown apples at their seasonal best and a time-honoured family-style pastry method. This is slow, hands-on cooking — the kind passed down through generations — with plenty of tips, stories, and gentle guidance along the way.
While the pies bake, guests will move outdoors to enjoy a relaxed garden afternoon tea, celebrating the flavours of the Granite Belt. You’ll sip tea and take part in a local honey tasting featuring Stanthorpe Honey, paired with simple garden-inspired bites and a warm slice of freshly baked pie straight from the oven.
As the afternoon winds down, each guest will take home:
-
Their own handcrafted 6-inch pie
-
The heirloom-style pie recipe to recreate at home
-
A small seasonal gift from Cooked from Scratch
This experience is designed to be unhurried, personal, and deeply connected to place — a celebration of food, tradition, and time well spent.
