Alpaca & Sheep Feeding

Our alpacas love to make new friends, especially when you feed them treats. We also have other friendly animals like sheep, some chickens, and ducks.

Bike Riding

The Granite Belt bike trail runs straight past our front door. Why not bring your bike and enjoy this beautiful part of the Granite Belt on two wheels?

Birdwatching

Surrounded by National Parks, the Granite Belt area has a rich variety of birds. Relaxing on the wrap around verandas enables bird watching at your doorstep.

Board Games

Whatever the weather, go back to basics and while away the afternoon with a friendly (or competitive) board game, card game or good book.

Bonfire

Enjoy the long night by the fire. Make sure you watch the stars and toast some marshmallows enjoy a glass of mulled wine while the beautiful evening outdoors.

Bush Walking

Girraween National Park is an area known for its spectacular flowers, dramatic landscapes and unique wildlife. Bring your walking shoes and see this natural beauty for yourself.

Christmas in July

During July Sabo’s becomes a Winter Wonderland complete with mulled wine, delicious old fashioned Christmas fare, carols and decorations galore… it is truly magical and very special.

Cooking Classes

We have our very own cooking school “Cooked from Scratch” here at Sabo’s. Why not have some fun and join in and maybe learn something new and fun.

Fishing

Sabo’s backs onto the Severn River and the crystal-clear waterways, teeming with Murry Cod, yellow belly and freshwater perch native. Bring your rod the river is at your door.

Golf

Stanthorpe Golf Club is an 18 Hole golf course in Southern Downs. Golfing in Stanthorpe is a very recreational. Stanthorpe Golf Courses are quiet, relaxed, and often the kangaroos outnumber the golfers.

Lawn Games

Nothing is better than enjoying a friendly game of croquet or bocce on a sunny afternoon with friends or family! Grab the kit & head down to the grass.

Long Lunches & Dinners

We have so many beautiful areas on the property that we use for special long lunches and themed dinners under the stars. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming events.

Picnic Hampers

Pick a patch of grass and throw out the blanket… We will design and pack you a homemade local produce picnic hamper that can be arranged on request before check in to enjoy on the property or out and about on the Granite Belt.

Wedding Venue

With a beautiful rotunda and amazing gardens why not consider your intimate wedding here at Sabo’s we even have room for your marque at the front of the property. Drop us a line, call for a chat.

Wildlife

If you’re on the lookout, you’re bound to see some wildlife, perhaps the local platypus family at the dam or a cute echidna that loves to hide under the house. Birds include a range of colourful parrots, wrens and owls to name a few. Kangaroos and wallabies can be spot just outside your door.
