Apple Strudel Workshop & Garden Afternoon Tea
Event Date:
February 22, 2026
Cooked from Scratch | Granite Belt
It would be our pleasure to welcome you into the Cooked from Scratch kitchen for an intimate apple strudel workshop and garden afternoon tea experience, inspired by tradition, seasonality, and the flavours of the Granite Belt.
Each workshop begins in our country kitchen, where Lizzie will guide you through crafting a beautiful apple strudel using locally grown Stanthorpe apples and traditional strudel pastry techniques. This is slow, hands-on cooking — learning how to stretch delicate dough, layer spiced apples and fruit, and create a strudel that’s crisp, light, and deeply comforting.
While the strudel bakes, guests will move outdoors to enjoy a relaxed garden afternoon tea, celebrating local produce and place. You’ll sip tea and take part in a Stanthorpe Honey tasting, paired with simple garden-inspired bites and a warm slice of freshly baked apple strudel straight from the oven.
As the afternoon winds down, each guest will take home:
Their handcrafted apple strudel
The traditional strudel recipe to recreate at home
A small seasonal gift from Cooked from Scratch
This experience is designed to be unhurried, personal, and deeply connected to where we live — celebrating Granite Belt apples, local honey, and the joy of cooking together.
